Handmade Sword
Plain Iron Katana — 1045 Carbon Steel, Short Handle, Hand Forged, Full Tang, Battle Ready
SKU: 743
This Plain Iron Katana is built around iron-based fittings and a heat-tempered blade — unadorned materials and functional construction that defined working samurai swords. The scabbard follows the shirasaya tradition — natural uncolored wood that presents the blade without competition, the pale grain of the saya giving way to nothing but the blade itself, with only a genuine buffalo horn ring at the koiguchi as the single fitted material detail. Hand-forged from 1045 high carbon steel, heat tempered and fully inspected before leaving our California warehouse. A capable, durable katana for collectors and practitioners who want proven steel without overcomplication.
